My name is Chico, and I am what you might call a substantial cat. At seventeen pounds, I take up space in the best way possible. I’m a little shy at first, but once my brother Chester gives the go-ahead, I’ll come out to investigate and maybe lean in for some head scritches. I enjoy lounging, observing, and making a dramatic fuss anytime I have to go in a carrier. You haven’t heard true protest until you’ve tried to take me to the vet. I’m sweet, gentle, and more emotionally sensitive than I let on.
After our human passed away, Chester and I stuck together because, well, that’s what we’ve always done. We’ve never been apart, and I can’t imagine starting over without him. I need a home where people understand that I’m not slow to love, I’m just thoughtful about it. If you like a cat who’s more of a calm presence than a chaotic blur, who may secretly be a poet trapped in a big orange body, then we might just get along. Just don’t ask me to get in the carrier. Seriously.
This kitty is currently in a loving foster home and has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed/neutered.
