Shadow was found on the side of the road very ill and beat up. His skin was in poor condition, covered with fleas and raw patches. He had to have teeth removed due to decay. He was in terrible shape when he turned up. He is doing well now and playing. He seems to be an alpha male and chases the other cats. He doesn't fight, but tries to intimidate. He's wonderful with children and likes dogs, loves to be held, petted and loved on. He wants a forever home, someone to grow old with. He is extremely friendly and will follow you around the house like a dog.
Shadow couldn't care less about much of anything except being loved. Although this boy has tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), he can peacefully coexist in a home with other healthy cats without posing a risk to anyone. There is no need to be afraid to adopt an FIV cat! An FIV cat does everything a healthy indoors cat does. Most FIV positive cats live a long time and that time is about as normal and healthy as any other cat. They make the perfect indoors cats since they must stay inside to remain healthy. Indoor FIV cats are far less likely to show symptoms.
