This litter of five has a special place in many rescue volunteer's hearts...
These newborn kittens were born in a neighbor garage across from what we call an "urban jungle" . The owner's found them in their garage, umbilical cords still attached. They did not want to leave their garage open all night, so they left them in a basket in front of their garage door hoping mom would come for them.  After a few hours, they worried they would be eaten by hawks circling overhead, and two of the 5 were missing. So they made the choice to put them in a basket in their car for the whole night- thinking they would be safe from predators. They did not realize that it was too cold and they would starve without their momma and she would not be able to get them in a car.  
They called our fellow rescue volunteer Diane that morning. The kittens were lifeless and barely moving.   Diane brought them to another volunteers home Denise who helped warm them up and they went to work preparing to bottlefeed the newborns as fast as possible. Luckly they were able to revive them! Another foster volunteer, Kelly arrived and helped them get started feeding them through out the day, She ended up taking them home to feed around the clock. 
Diane and Bob were determined to go back and find momma so that she could feed her babies.  It took five days to finally trap the momma. When they brought her to reunite with her babies, she immediately took care of them.
The rescue volunteer Diane knew they she had to go back, there were two more babies out there somewhere. She and her husband went back two nights in a row, and finally on the third night, they heard the little babies' cries. They brought the other two babies to the mom at the foster's home just in time! All five kittens were reunited with mom and have grown up to become the sweetest and most lovable kittens to date!
Mom Emma was too feral to be domesticated and adopted, and is being kept in another volunteer's yard, being fed daily. She no longer has to hunt for her food, and has someone to look after her.
The five kittens are available for pre-adopt, and are bring fixed 4/21, will be ready to go home on 4/23 for a purr-fect new family. Two have been pre-adopted already!
They will come spayed, microchipped, de flead, dewormed, shots up to date, tested for feline diseases, and nails trimmed. - and full of LOVE and kisses!
